Document Description
The University of California, Davis proposes to construct and operate a new office and laboratory building called the Genome Launch Facility. The project site for the proposed Genome Launch Facility is in the central campus, south of Extension Center Drive, east of the Student Farm Garden, northeast of the Bowley Center and Core Greenhouse Complex (currently under construction), and west of the Transportation and Parking Services office. The proposed project would include the construction of a one-story, approximately 21,091 gross square foot building. The project would also relocate Student farm operations currently located in five existing structures on the site. The project would construct a new replacement Student Farm Shop (approximately 2,160 gross square feet) and storage yard (approximately 6,840 square feet) at the western end of Extension Center Drive on the north side of the road. Student farm replacement greenhouses would be constructed within the core Greenhouse Complex, as part of that project.
