The City of Monterey Park is proposing to amend its General Plan to add two new Elements, including a Healthy Communities Element and Sustainability Communities Element and associated implementation Program. The Elements establish goals and policies to guide City efforts to support and promote a healthier and more sustainable community. The proposed amendment would not modify the Land Use Policy Map or intensities/densities identified within the General Plan Land Use Element. No changes to the maximum development potential approved for the General Plan that was analyzed in the FEIR would occur with the proposed amendment.
