Document Description
The Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Union City (Agency) is preparing for consideration of adoption by the City Council (City) an amendment to the original (1988) City of Union City Community Redevelopment Plan that would expand the 1988 Project Area boundaries to add territory, change certain Redevlopment Plan time and financial limits, and revise the list of proposed redevelopment programs and activities. The original Redevelopment Plan contains limitations on the incurrence of new dept, the amount of tax increment revenue the Agency may receive, and eminent domain authority. The proposed Redevelopment Plan amendment will change the limitations to allow the Agency to have the financial and legal resources needed to complete the redevelopment of the original Project Area and the territory proposed to be added to the Project Area.
