Document Description
Application 29740 seeks to divert a total of 30 acre feet of water per annum from an unnamed stream tributary to Montgomery Creek, tributary to Dry Creek, and from an unnamed stream tributary to Napa River, for storage within two 15 acre-foot onstream reservoirs. Point of diversion #1 (POD#1) will be constructed to collect flow from the Montgomery Creek drainage, creating Reservoir No. 1. Reservoir No. 1 will also operate as a point of rediversion to augment fill of proposed Reservoir No. 2, to be constructed on the upper reach of the unnamed stream tributary to Dry Creek. Both reservoirs will be non-jurisdictional in size, proposed diversions will inundate approximately 1.5 surface acres at each site. The applicant seeks collection to storage between December 15 and March 31, for drip irrigation of established and proposed vineyards during the dry months of May through September. The place of use (POU) is defined as 35 acres located in the gross acreage within the NE1/4, NW1/4 of NE1/4, and the SW1/4 of NE1/4, all within Section 5, T6N, R5W, MDBM.
