The NED plan supports raising the spilway ten feet and widening the spillway one hundred sixty-five feet of Success Reservoir on Tule River to obtain 28,000 a.f. of additional storage, creating a total of 100,300 a.f. of storage space to increase the flood protection for the City of Porterville and downsteam agricultural lands from a one in 47 year to a one in 100 year flood event.
