The NED plan supports raising the spillway ten feet (10') and widening the spillway one hundred sixty-five feet (165') of Success Reservoir on Tule River to obtain 28,000 a.f. of additional storage, creating a total of 100,300a.f. of storage space to increase the flood protection for the City of Porterville and downstream agricultural lands from a one in 47 year to a one in 100 year flood event.
