Document Description
This is an amendment to add additional acreage to a present project. Prescribed fire project to reintroduce fire into a mixed conifer forest type. The project is designed to reduce fuels along prominent ridges and adjoining residential subdivisions to aid in controlling potential wildland fires in the area; thereby reducing potential environmental impacts due to catastrophic wildland fire. The project will be conducted under CDF's Vegetation Management Program (VMP). Within the VMP, this project has been designed to include standard best management practices and already incorporates all appropriated mitigation measures to ensure that any potential adverse environmental impacts are reduced to less than significant or totally avoided. Future activities include ongoing forest and vegetation management activities.
