Document Description
The Superior Court of San Diego County issued a judgement as a result of a lawsuit brought against the County which successfully challenged the adoption of GPA 94-01 that would have set a minimum parcel size of eight acres for the [ 20 ] designated land. The court directed the County to bring the regional Land Use, Open Space, and Conservation elements of the General Plan into conformance with State law and to prepare appropriate environmental documentation pursuant to Government Code Section 65759. A draft environmental Impact Report [ DEIR ] was circulated for a 45-day public review period on February 18,1999. During the preparation of responses to comments received on the draft EIR, it was determined that changes should be made to the analysis of potential impacts to the following resource areas: Noise; Transportation and Circulation; and the Water Quality section of Water Resources. The revisions necessitate recirculation of portions of the sections addressing these resource areas pursuant to CEQA Guidelines S 15088.5(a) (1). In addition, Dr Wood prepared a supplemental report that was not included as Appendix B in the draft EIR.
