Document Description
The proposeal is for approval of an amendment of the term of the use permit (Use Permit 68-89) to allow the continued use of a landfill for a 25-year term on approximately 270 acres with approximately 132 acres of fill area. the use permit originally had been conditioned to a 10-year term. As part of the use permit process, conditions that have already been complied with of that are now inappropriate due to final design of the facility will be amended or deleted. A Final EIR (FEIR 1-89, SCH# 89052316) was certified by the Shasta County Planning Commission on June 7, 1990, and at that time the Commission approved Use Permit 68-89. A copy of the "Executive Summary" section of the FEIR is attatched for review and reference. The summary identifies potential impacts and mitigation. The new term would not result in any physical changes. No operational changes are being requested by this approval.
