- Description
- This project will extend an existing pier by 60 feet, install a new boat lift and remove one buoy in Lake Tahoe. The extended pier will require 8 steel pilings to be installed, and the boat lift will require 2 steel I-beams resulting in 5.34 square feet of new permanent impacts to the lakebed. The project is in feed-cover fish habitat according to the TRPA Shoreline Permitting Map. One six square foot cobble fish habitat mitigation pyramid will be created near the pier head as required by the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. Direct impacts include sediment disturbance and increased turbidity from piling installation.
