Ponderosa Thousand Trails Storm Damage Repair (Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. ELD-49148-R2)
Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number ELD-49148-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, MHC Ponderosa, L.P. The project includes the clean up, repair, and restoration activities from storm damage that occurred during the 2022-2023 storms and to armor the site from future storm damage. Debris and sediment will be removed from Area 2 within Gold Creek. A permanent parking area will be installed in Area 1 (previously a gravel lot) as well as a curb/retaining wall around the entire campsite to control erosion. A total of 11 valley live oaks and three (3) black locust trees will be removed. Trees will be planted within the project area with restoration efforts including the addition of 76,913 square feet (1.766 acres) of landscaping on BLM land and 57,256 square feet (1.314 acres) of landscaping on private land.
