Title
Lawson Residence (Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. PLA-49395-R2)
Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number PLA-49395-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Clayton Lawson. The project is limited to the filling and relocation of a 180-foot by 3-foot (approximately 600 square feet) section of an unnamed tributary to the North Fork American River. Project activities entail the grading of the tributary. Approximately 1000 cubic yards of primarily upland native material will be imported to the site to fill the existing section of unnamed tributary. A new tributary will be created by excavating a new 600-square foot channel to tie into an existing drainage. Rock Slope Protection (RSP) will be placed in the new section to help reduce the potential for erosion. Approximately 5 oak trees will need to be removed prior to unnamed tributary construction. In addition, 15 native oak trees and a mix of locally native shrubs generally to consist of manzanita (Arctostaohylos manzanita), coyote bush (Baccharis vanessae), western redbud (Cercis occidentalis), and coffeeberry (Rhamnus californica) will be planted around the new unnamed tributary to help establish riparian habitat.
