Honby Tanks Pipeline Project

Description

The Honby Tanks Pipeline Project (herein referred to as “proposed project” or “project”) would involve construction and operation of a new pipeline to convey water to and from the Honby Tanks and the Honby Booster Station. The new pipeline would be constructed of either steel or ductile iron and would be upsized from 16 inches in diameter to between 24 to 30 inches in diameter. A minimum 20-foot permanent easement and additional 20-foot temporary easement would be required for the project. The proposed pipeline would be buried underground for the entirety of the alignment and would not have any aboveground components upon completion. The project would require the removal of the fencing bordering the Honby Tanks due to the limited work area at the top of the slope. At the end of the existing Honby pipeline’s usable life, it would be abandoned in place. The project would not involve any new operation and maintenance activities. No new employees would be required.
