- PG&E Gas Line 021G Replacement Project (L 021G/R-708) Across the Petaluma River
- Description
- The Project would consist of the replacement of the existing 021G natural gas pipeline. Approximately 1,852 feet of 16-inch-diameter steel replacement pipeline (R-708) would be installed (492 feet in upland locations using open trench and backfill methods and 1,360 feet under the Petaluma River by the horizontal directional drilling methods) adjacent to the existing pipeline. Two approximately 368-foot parallel sections of the existing 12-inch-diameter steel pipeline (021G) and driplines would then be removed from beneath the Petaluma River, and 1,278 feet of the existing 16-inch-diameter natural gas pipeline and 2,690 feet of 0.75-inch dripline (in upland locations) would be retired in place.
