Title: CSA #5 Erosion Control Project - Phase 3
Description: The County of El Dorado, Department of Transportation (County) proposes to implement the CSA#5 Erosion Control Project – Phase 3 (Project) in an existing residential development in the community of Tahoma, CA during the summer of 2024. The Project is identified in the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency’s (TRPA) Environmental Improvement Program (EIP) as Project number 01.01.01.0202. The objective of the Project is to design and implement erosion control and water quality improvement measures that will reduce the discharge of sediment and pollutants to Lake Tahoe from County administered rights-of-way. The County is proposing to improve the water quality of runoff to Lake Tahoe and its tributaries by reducing erosion and sediment transport originating from the Project Area. Categories of best management practices to be used include the use of native vegetation as bioswales, source control, hydrologic design, and treatment of runoff.
