City of Orange Wells 20, 21 & 22 PFAS Treatment Systems

Description

The Project consists of the installation of a small treatment plant at each of the three existing groundwater production well sites for the treatment of PFAS contaminants. The treatment plants would consist of the use of an ion exchange (IX) treatment protocol through the use of IX vessels along with associated conveyance facilities. The vessels would be approximately 16 feet tall at each site. The sites have each been disturbed by the development of the existing groundwater production wells, the Project would not require any new ground disturbances. The facility would treat water pumped from the production wells and would convey it to existing water distribution pipelines for potable water consumption. The Project would not require any vegetation removal and occurs within areas that are highly urbanized.
