Description

Updated Avian Avoidance Plan dated August 2021. This Tower Avian Avoidance Plan will be implemented to stop birds of prey from using the new tower facility as predator perch. Winter flocks of Western Snowy Plovers along with other migratory shorebirds and nesting bank swallows may be present to the west approximately 700-feet along the Manchester State stretch of beach. While the tower will be more than 700-feet away from potential nesting and foraging habitat, the tower without anti-predator controls could potentially allow the tower to be used as a predator perch.
