Title
Medical Office Building for the Folsom Center for Health
Description
The proposed Medical Office Building for the Folsom Center for Health is a state-of-the-art medical office building that would include (1) 115 patient examination rooms; (2) a buildout of ancillary services to include Diagnostic Imaging, Radiology, Ophthalmology, and General Support Services for the entire building; (3) construction of specialty clinics and infusion services with a compounding pharmacy; and (4) site development to include approximately 525 parking spaces, landscape, hardscape, utilities, and pathways to and around the building. Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act, a program Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the entire UC Davis Folsom Center for Health, including the Medical Office Building has been prepared. The program EIR evaluates the potential environmental impacts for the development of a multi-phase health center in Folsom including the Folsom Medical Office Building (MOB) as the first phase of development. Consistent with CEQA, the program EIR could be used for future compliance to approve future elements of the Folsom Center for Health. The first phase of construction, the proposed MOB and related site improvements, is the only project proposed for approval at this time. Future projects beyond the Folsom MOB will be reviewed in light of the analysis contained within the EIR to determine whether additional environmental review will be required. While UC Davis has completed a master plan for the development of the entire site, the approval of the proposed MOB project creates no commitment to future projects or the implementation of the entire master plan.
