- Walker Creek Ranch Distaff Thistle Control Project
- The proposed project involves aerial (helicopter) and manual (backpack and side-by-side boom on ATV) application of herbicides to control the invasive Wooley Distraff Thistle on approximately 402 acres of grasslands at the Marin County Office of Education's Walker Creek Ranch Outdoor School and Conference Center in northern Marin County. The aerial spraying would occur over a one-to-three-day period during the late winter/spring growing season for the thistle, typically between January and April. Follow-up treatments also would occur.
