Two Rivers Park Project

Description

The Fall River Valley Community Services District (FRVCSD) acquired fee title from Pacific Gas and Electric Company for approximately 35 acres of private lands for the development of a community park. FRVCSD began construction of the first phase of park improvements in 2012, which included a parking area, decomposed granite trails, and various landscaping amenities. The proposed project includes construction of additional park facilities and community trails. Improvements on the west side of the Fall River include a paved road, unpaved parking lot, recycle waste station, and a new community trail. A gate and signage would be installed. On the east side of the Fall River ±400 feet of the existing trail would be paved, and a drinking fountain and a picnic area with a pavilion would be installed. Solar panels would be mounted on top of the pavilion. Benches, picnic tables, signage, recycle waste stations, an information kiosk, and a gate with a decorative archway would be installed. A public restroom would be constructed adjacent to the existing parking lot, and landscaping improvements including trees, shrubs, and mulch would be located throughout the park.
