Description

The project site is currently a concrete-lined channel that services the Los Angeles County Flood Control District. The proposed park would be constructed over the existing channel, utilizing the entire Flood Control District right-of-way, which lies between the commercial property to the north and Agoura Road to the south. The park will include features like picnic benches, bike racks, children’s play equipment, native/drought tolerant landscaping, a butterfly garden and botanical walk, among others. Key goals of the park are to enhance active recreation opportunities, protection of ecosystems, increasing regional trail connectivity, and improving the use of lands at an existing facility that will enrich the lives of current and future community members.
