Title
Morro Road Soldier Pile Wall State Route 41
Description
The proposed project would construct a 140-foot long soldier pile wall at post mile 3.1 on State Route 41 near Morro Bay in western San Luis Obispo County. The soldier pile wall would stabilize an over-steepened embankment slope on the northbound side of the highway which resulted in a slip-out under the shoulder caused by heavy rain events in March of 2018. The project would also include construction of a concrete bridge barrier along the top of the soldier pile wall, and the northbound shoulder would be widened from four to eight feet to meet Caltrans' design standards.
