Tiger Creek Fuel Break and Watershed Protection Project (SNC #1200)

Description

The Sierra Nevada Conservancy would provide $834,126.00 in funding for forest management and fuel reduction activities including approximately 220 acres of new fuel break construction, 6.4 acres of upgrading existing fuel breaks, and 41 acres of vegetation clearance along roadways necessary for ingress and egress. The project would occur entirely within BLM land and would be a part of the larger Tiger Creek Fuel Break and Watershed Protection project. The treatments aim to protect water water quality, reduce risk of catastrophic fire to nearby communities, increase forest resiliency.
