Title: City of Needles 2019 Housing Element Update
Description: The City of Needles (City) is proposing to adopt a Housing Element as part of its General Plan and an update to its current 2005 Housing Element. The proposed 2019 Housing Element (Project) defines policies and goals for future housing within the corporate boundary limits of the City. The Housing Element lists policies and programs in order to accommodate a variety of housing types for all income levels and needs of special population groups defined under State law (California Government Code Section 65583); analyzes governmental constraints to housing maintenance, improvement, and development; addresses conservation and improvement of the condition of the existing affordable housing stock; and outlines policies to promote housing opportunities for all persons. The 2019 Housing Element is a policy document consistent with the General Plan and does not include any changes to land use designations, zoning, building heights and intensities, or residential densities.
