- State Capitol Infrastructure: Balconies and Porticos Repairs
- Description
- The Department of General Services will make modifications and perform repairs to the West Wing of the State Capitol balconies and porticos to prevent water from pooling during,rainy seasons that in the past has led to water damage across these locations. This will be completed by: selectively removing damaged marble tiles, mortar and water proofing membrane then installing new materials to match existing and installing new cooper drainage piping by drilling small cores in the. concrete and adding pipes to each of the three porticos and balconies to drain water. In addition, the surrounding granite tiles will be cleaned and new LED light fixtures installed.
