- Description
- The Well 18A Blending Pipeline Project will include: installation/extension of a water main; modification of existing main and pipeline; addition of a cla-valve, check valve, and gate valve(s); and reconnection to existing discharge piping. New main will be installed from East Valley Boulevard to South Sycamore A venue, where it will be connected to the Well 18A Ion Exchange Treatment System discharge pipe. The purpose of the pipeline is to allow for blending of Well 18A groundwater, treated by the Well 18A Ion Exchange Treatment System, with potable distribution water. This will allow for contaminant concentrations, specifically nitrate, to be further reduced through blending. The benefit is to provide potable water with lower contaminant concentrations.
