Title: Montara Mountain Rainfall Prediction and Radio Replacement Project
Description: The project would install X-band radar and a new radio system to improve the accuracy of rainfall forecasts for the Bay Area Region and replace an outdated land mobile radio system. The radar, support structure, and 6-foot diameter antenna would be 20 feet tall; the radio monopole would be 45 feet tall. Other components include a short access road, security fencing, power and communication lines within the 0.1-acre project site on Montara Mountain in the SFPUC Peninsula Watershed. Construction is expected to take 4 to 6 months.
