Citrus Heights Electric Greenway Project

Description

The Citrus Heights Electric Greenway Trail Project is a proposed 2.9 mile (class 1) multi-use path to be located in Citrus Heights and Orangevale that largely follows an existing SMUD electric transmission corridor. The proposed trail would span between Arcade Creek Park Preserve (Sunrise Boulevard) to the west and Wachtel Way to the east. The project would provide critical connectivity, increase safety and accessibility, and complete a major milestone identified in the City's General Plan, Pedestrian Master Plan, and Bicycle Master Plan. The project will provide connections to residences, schools, commercial centers, and the following community parks along the SMUD Transmission corridor crossing Arcade Creek and Cripple Creek.
