Tuolumne Community Resilience Center Project
The proposed resilience center would consist of one multi-use building of up to 12,000 sq. ft., associated outdoor multifunctional space, and approximately 200 parking spaces. During typical non-emergency operation, the center would be used by various community groups, no n-profit organizations, governmental entities, and the public. Typical uses would include temporary events such as meetings, parties/fund raisers, training, banquet/receptions, and limited governmental services and non-profit activities such as computer stations and informational kiosks. During emergencies, the center would function as a shelter, providing sleep space and food for residents, first responders, gathering space for emergency responders to conduct briefings, public use of computers, staging for animal evaluations, and function as a cooling/heating center.
