Huntington Lake Volunteer Fire Department Education & Safety

Description

The Huntington Lake Volunteer Fire Department is receiving funds for staff, supplies, and equipment to expand patrol hours and increase its search and rescue capabilities. The grant includes funding for over 80 hours of patrol activities spread out over both winter and summer. The grant also provides funding to purchase scene lighting for winter rescues and a portable winch system that can be used to rescue patients and recover both over the snow and off highway vehicles (OSV and OHV). Finally grant monies will help to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) to support especially the winter patrol and rescue activities. Project activities will not result in a physical change in the environment.
