Description: The City proposes to construct a new Municipal Corporation Yard Facility at the project site (4300 West Capitol Ave.), which the City anticipates purchasing from the Port of West Sacramento. The city has determined that the existing facility, located at 1951 South River Road, is operationally constrained and functionally obsolete. The project would involve relocating all employees, fleet, equipment, and supplies to the project site. The city does not plan to demolish the existing facility at 1951 South River Road as part of this project; therefore, this IS/proposed MND evaluates the construction of the new corporation yard, and the operational shift of services from the existing facility to the project site.
