Title: California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery
Description: The CCCVC 2015 Master Plan outlines a process and strategy for the implementation of the entire CCCVC. The 2015 Master Plan includes a phased approach to build-out that would serve the anticipated needs of veterans for the next hundred years, and is analyze at a program level. Phase 2 of the Master Plan is considered a near-term project; therefore, it is analyzed at project level in the EIR/EA. Phase 2 would include the development of approximately 4.4 acres adjacent to the existing Phase 1 development. It would include a combination of burial facilities to meet Veteran's needs, as well as road and access from the existing Phase 1 site, irrigation, landscaping, and other ancillary improvements. The project is being managed by the California Department of General Services, with CalVet as lead CEQA agency, and US Department of Veterans Affairs as lead NEPA agency.
