Description: The CHP Hayward Area Office Replacement Project is being constructed as part of a statewide effort to replace aging or inadequate CHP field offices and other facilities. The purpose of the proposed project is to relocate the Hayward and Castro Valley Area Offices, and consolidate them into one new facility that would provide adequate workspace, equipment storage, and vehicle parking for an increasing number of employees assigned to this office (approx 132 combined current employees, increasing to 150 employees over 10 years).
