Biggs-West Gridley Water District 2018 Water Transfer Program

Description

In 2018, WGWD proposes to transfer to DRWD and KCWA (collectively Buyers) up to 20,291 acre-feet of water made available by idling 6,148.78 of land historically in agricultural production from May through September. DWR will deliver the transfer water to the Buyers' service area. The transfer water is intended to alleviate water shortages within the Buyers' service area and would not support new development.
