Title: Activate Ten Wells Currently on Stand-by Mode
Description: SWRCB, as the responsible agency, will be issuing a water supply permit. Ten Indio Water Authority wells are on stand-by mode because they were impacted by chromium-6 regulations established by the State of CA in 2014. On May 31, 2017, the Superior Court of CA invalidated this regulation. The Indio Water Authority proposed project includes re-activating the 10 wells that were put on standby mode as a result of the original regulations. The 10 wells include: Well 1-B, 2-C, 2-D, 3A, 3-B, 3C, U, W, Z and BB.
