Description

Note: Extended Review Per Lead Proposed project would provide policy direction and identify actions the City and community can take significantly reduce the generation of greenhouse gas emissions consistent with CA AB 32 and EO S-3-05. The purpose of the Sustainable Santee Plan is to guide the development, enhancement, and the implementation of actions and strategies that reduce the City's GHG emissions. Overall, the goal of the Sustainability Plan is to reduce the City's community-wide GHG emissions by 15 percent below 2005 emissions by 2020 and 49 percent below 2005 emissions by 2035 in conformance with AB 32 Scoping Plan and post 2020 reductions in conformance with the goals set in Executive Order S-3-05. The City is also aiming to reduce community-wide emissions below six metric tons CO2e per capita by 2030 to implement SB 32.
