Title
Dalton Reservoir Replacement Project (Project No. CIP 2016-19)
Description
The proposed project would replace the existing 2.0 million gallon steel water reservoir with a new 3.41 MG steel reservoir on a 5.7-acre site. The project location is 2889 Ames St, Livermore, approx 1,400 ft west of North Vasco Rd and about 1,000 ft northeast of the eastern terminus of Raymond Rd, in the northeastern part of the city of Livermore. The existing reservoir is welded steel and was originally constructed in 1964. It is over 50 years old and the reservoir and its supporting utilities have reached the end of their useful life. The proposed new tank would be similar in style to the existing tank but 14 ft taller and about 25 wider in diameter. The project involves removal of the existing tank and construction of a 3.41 MG, 40-ft high, 155-ft diameter welded steel replacement reservoir on substantially the same footprint of the existing tank.
