Title
GWMA Recycled Water Pipelines Project in the City of South Gate
Description
The project would consist of approx 25,325 lineal feet of recycled water pipeline varying in size from 8-in diameter to 20-in. The proposed recycled water pipeline would connect to Central Basin's existing 18-in diameter recycled water pipeline in Atlantic at Southern Place. Beginning at this intersection, the proposed 18-in diameter recycled water pipeline would extend approx 14,906 lineal feet along Southern Avenue between Park Avenue and Laurel Street. At the Alameda Corridor, the pipeline would be installed in the bridge cell. At Alameda St, the proposed recycled water pipeline would extend along Alameda St in a southerly direction to Tweedy Blvd and thence along Tweedy Blvd to the South Gate East HS, a total distance of approx 4,727 lf. The pipeline in Alameda St would also extend southerly approx 1,484 lf to Sequoia Dr and thence easterly in Sequoia Dr approx 497 lf. In addition, approx 3,711 lf of recycled water pipeline would be constructed in California Ave north from Southern Ave to South Gate City Hall. That pipeline would continue in a northerly direction to Ardmore Ave where it would then extend in a westerly direction to South Gate HS. The new recycled water system would serve South Gate Park, State Street Park, South Gate MS, Stanford Ave Park, American Apparel, Koos Manufacturing Co., South Gate City Hall, South Gate HS, and South Gate East HS.
