- This project will demonstrate a smart pavement device that harvests energy from roadways vibrations for generating clean electricity. The total pavement footprint used for demonstration is less than 500 sq. ft., anticipated for an off-street location. The purpose is to validate the cost, efficiency and benefit tot eh CA electricity ratepayers compared to that of thermoelectric power plants.
