Description: The 2018 RTP is a long-range regional transportation plan that provides a blueprint to help achieve a coordinated regional transportation system by creating vision for transportation investment throughout the region and identifying regional transportation and land use strategies to address mobility needs. The 2018 RTP includes a policy element that is shaped by goals, policies and performance indicators, a description of planning assumptions for regional growth and future needs for travel and goods movement, a Sustinable Communities Strategy (SCS) that identifies planning strategies and illustrative development patterns that would reduce greenhouse gas emissions and a plan of action for the region to pursue to meet identified transportation needs.
