Emergency Slope Repair

Description

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes the immediate repair of various embankments to prevent any additional damage from future washout and to provide the necessary repairs at State Route (SR) 26 in Calaveras County. The scope of the project includes placing a new culvert, shoulder reconstruction and placing rock slope protection on the eroding slopes, and the installation of overside drains and new mountable dikes (Type E). All work will occur within Caltrans Right-of-Way. The purpose of the project to maintain highway safety. The need of the project is for an immediate reapir of the collapsing slope and damaged culverts.
