San Diego State University New Student Housing Project

Description

Proposed project is the expansion of on-campus student housing facilities to be located at the corner of 55th St. and Remington Road which currently is an existing parking lot (Parking Lot 9). The proposed project includes a new 850 bed residence hall with a total height varying from 4 stories along the south side of Remington Road to 5 stories on the north, east and west sides. In addition, the project includes a separate 2-story building containing food service facilities and a flexible use seating/gathering/event space to be located at the east end of the project site. Demolition of Lot 9, as well as a small retail building (Aztec Market) and a multi-purpose building (Cholula), is included in the project.
