Title: Shell Hercules Demolition Reclamation Project
Description: The proposed project is the final stage of remediation and restoration at the former site of the Hercules Gas Plant. The project will remove all remaining site features, remediate PCB-impacted soils, reduce erosion, and minimize downstream transport of any residually remaining and historically impacted sediment. Following the removal of impacted soils, the site will be re-graded to resemble the natural conditions observed prior to the Fill Pad construction and similar to other canyons in the area. Site restoration will be conducted in conformance with an approved Habitat Restoration and Wetland Mitigation Plan. This project will result in the temporary disturbance of the 0.85 acre of vegetation within CDFW jurisdiction for streambeds. Temporary impacts will be restored through the implementation of this project and the Habitat Restoration and Wetland Mitigation Plan.
