Description

The proposed project is a General Plan amendment from Desert Residential to Open space and Zone Change from zone R-1L40 to S-2 (Open Space recreation) for the purpose of installing a Telecommunications tower. The proposed project includes Conditional Use Permit #15-0002 and Variance #15-0002 for a 140 foot monopole co-locatable telecommunications tower. The Variance will allow an extra 40 feet over the 100 foot limit in the S-2 zone. The proposed tower consists of 60 foot by 60 foot lease area for the facility. The area will be enclosed by a 6 foot chain link fence with barbed wire and it will include a 12 foot by 17 foot pre-fabricated equipment shelters and an emergency 30kw diesel generator. The anticipated construction time would be from 30-60 days.
