Occidental County Sanitation District Wastewater Transport Compliance Project

Description

The proposed project would allow the Occidental County Sanitation District to comply with conditions set forth in North Coast RWQCB Order No. R1-2012-0101 (Order). The proposed project would include transporting untreated wastewater to the Russian River County Sanitation District Main Lift Station where it would be discharged into the RRCSD collection system for treatment, storage, and disposal. In situations where transferring untreated wastewater to the RRCSD is not feasible, including lack of access to RRCSD facilities during flood events, operational limitations include heavy rain events during the irrigation season, or operational malfunctions, untreated wastewater would then be transported to the Airport-Larkfield-Wikiup Sanitation zone for treatment, storage, and disposal.
