The Port of Oakland (Port) is the local land use authority for Schnitzer Steel Industries (Schnitzer), privately-owned property located at 1101 Embarcadero West, Oakland, CA. Schnitzer is proposing to implement a stormwater improvement system which includes a new electrocoagulation water treatment plant, new water conveyance pipes, upgrade to the existing water clarifier, and new storm and sanitary sewer connections.
