The property borders the Santa Rosa Indian Reservation on the property's northern boundary and touches other lands within Riverside County along the property's western, eastern, and southern boundaries. The parcel is situated in mountainous terrain and is open land with no improvements or other structures on the property. The Tribe has no plans for commercial or other development on this land. The purpose of this acquisition is to promote tribal self-determination and to preserve the Tribe's cultural resources.
