- Florin Creek Multi-Use Basin Project
- Description
- Construction and operation of two detention basins with a maximum depth of about eight feet below current ground elevation with a total flood storage volume of approx. 32.5 acre-feet. The detention basins would also provide an opportunity for stormwater management and non-point source control. Because the Park District will work with SAFCA as a project partner, the project will improve recreation and public access. Project features will include a habitat area planted with native plants to provide ecosystem restoration.
