Title: Arsenic Treatment Facilities Sludge Drying Bed
Description: The Project consists of construction and operation of a sludge drying bed on the District's existing Arsenic Treatment Plant No. 2 site. Sludge from Plant No. 2 would be conveyed directly from the backwash waste holding tank onsite to the sludge drying bed, and partially dried iron/arsenic sludge would be transferred from the Arsenic Treatment Plant No. 1 site to the sludge drying bed. The sludge would be dried in the sludge drying bed before collected and disposed of offsite. This is a common method of handling sludge at water treatment facilities.
