Title
Wellhead Treatment Project
Description
The California Department of Public Health (Department) is a responsible agency for this project. The Department's Safe Drinking Water Proposition 50 Program is providing state funds for the project. The City of Ontario proposes to pump water from existing well 41, convey the water through a new pipeline, where it will be treated in a new treatment plant, and discharge the treated water into the City's existing water distribution system. A new treatment plant will be constructed within a City-owned vacant parcel. This is to advise that the Department has conditionally approved a grant for the project described above in the amount of $1,465,600 on February 28, 2014, from Chapter 4b, Proposition 50, the Water Security, Clean Drinking Water, Costal and Beach Protection Act of 2002. Upon completion of the project, the Department's Office will issue a new or amended permit to operate the facility.
